What Started As A Normal Day...

...turned out to be very extraordinary.

It was late morning. We had just finished breakfast, and Saige wanted to read us one of her new favorite stories, Little House by Boston Bay, a book about Laura Ingalls Wilder's grandmother.

Butterscotch likes to read books, too. :)

Then I heard a little knock on the door.
"Could you get that, Sylvia?" asked Saige, not wanting to get up.
"Sure."

I walked over to the door of our bedroom.

And opened it. Then I gasped.

"What's the matter?" called Kirsten.

But I was in too much of a shock to say anything.

"Hello," said the new girl shyly. "I'm Caroline."
Saige and Kirsten came running over, but none of us could say anything.
This was so entirely unexpected!

In the end, it was Butterscotch who said the first "hello".
She walked up to Caroline and made a little mew.

We all laughed and found our voices.
"Are you going to live here?" asked Saige.
"Yes," she replied, smiling. "Mom adopted me a few days ago,
when she heard that I was being archived."
"This is wonderful!" I yelled, dancing around the room. Kirsten gave Caroline a big hug.
"We're so happy you're here," she said.

And now our little family of three is a family of four!

Caroline's bio is now on the "About Us" page. Have fun reading that and also, have a splendid day!

P.S. I have read Little House in Boston Bay, and some of the other books about Laura's grandmother. They're really good! I also love the ones about Laura's Ma.
P.P.S. Girls, I'm having trouble putting your mom's blog button on my blog. Do you think you could help me out? Thanks. :)

Yes, the books about Laura's Ma are really good, too. We own the first three in the series. We should probably read those next!
You asked us for help in the comments of Fashion Fun #3: Natural Neutrals. We replied there... so maybe if you could check that out, it would help you! :D
