Hello, ya'll! It's me, Sylvia.

Lately the math part of my schoolwork has been... erm... rather difficult, to put it gently. In desperation, I wrote a poem to relieve my feelings.

Mathematics

If a squared plus b squared gives c to the same

Then is Pythagorean Theorem some tortuous game?

Twenty-five plus thirty-six equals sixty-one, I’m positive

But if I subtract the sum, would that make it a negative?

Rational, real, natural, whole and integer

If I get them mixed up, does that mean I’m an amateur?

Strings of mocking digits snake across the page

Is it okay if I indulge in a teensy little rage?

Mathematics! Mathematics!
