Hello, everyone!
This morning, we actually had some cloud cover! Yay! ;) We took advantage of the cool breeze and went outside to play a game of Hide-and-Seek.
"All right," Sylvia began, when we were all gathered together. "Who should be It?"
"I'm sorry..." Caroline murmured softly, looking embarrassed. "I don't know how to play."
Then we remembered that no one had told Caroline about Hide-and-Seek yet.
How could she know about it? She's been living in a box for her whole life.
Saige spoke up. "It's very simple, really. Three of us hide and whoever's It has to find us."
"Here, I'll be It," offered Sylvia. "Hiding's probably easier for a beginner."
She turned around and closed her eyes. "I'll count to fifty!"
So she began counting and we all scattered.
"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight..."
At last, from our hiding spots, we heard Sylvia yell, "FIFTY!"
"Ready or not, here I come!"
She put her back to the wall and peered around.
The yard was very quiet.
Sylvia began her search.
I guess that my hiding spot wasn't as good as I thought.
"Found ya!" she grinned.
I went back to the wall and Sylvia continued on.
"Found you!"
"Nice job," said Saige, smiling.
She joined me at the wall.
"Caroline's the last one, eh?" I asked.
"Yeah," Saige replied. "She's doing well for her first time."
Sylvia was walking along when she heard a faint laugh.
"There you are!"
"You weren't going easy on me, were you?" asked Caroline, still giggling.
"No, I wasn't," said Sylvia.
"And I probably wouldn't have found you just then, if you hadn't laughed!"
They met us back at the wall.
The sun had come out from behind the clouds, and it was already starting to get hot.
"That was so fun!" said Caroline. "Let's keep playing... in the house."
"Okay!" we all replied.
So we did.
Do you or your dolls like to play Hide-and-Seek? It's Caroline's favorite game now, so we'll probably be playing it a lot more often.
Have a lovely day!
