How To Make Doll-Sized Pencils

Hey, everybody!

   Here is the next installment of doll-sized school supplies... pencils!

You will need:

-Several toothpicks

-Colored markers (pink, yellow, black, and green)

-Scissors

1) Select a toothpick.

2) Cut off one of the pointy ends.

3) Do this to several toothpicks.

4) Now, color the non-pointy end of a toothpick pink.

This will be the eraser.

5) Color the rest of the toothpick yellow.

Remember to leave the pointy end plain brown!

6) Color the tip of the pointy end black.

7) Finally, color two green bands on the eraser end. 

This is very important to do, or your pencil will not look like a pencil! 

8) Don't forget to color the tip of the eraser. This is important, too.

All done!

Now that you have some doll-sized pencils to go with your lined paper, enjoy writing!

How To Make Doll-Sized Lined Paper

Hello, everyone!

   Sylvia and I started school a couple weeks ago. Mom homeschools us, and also makes all of our school supplies! It's really hard to find doll-sized paper and pencils, you know. We thought that we'd post some tutorials on how Mom makes our school stuff.

   Let's start by making some lined paper!

First, you will need:

-A sheet of regular white paper

-Colored pencils (one red, and one navy blue or black)

-A hand held hole puncher

-Scissors

-Ruler

1) Fold your paper in half lengthwise, then widthwise to create two creases.

 

2) Cut along the creases.

3) You should now have four papers.

4) Fold those four papers in half.

5)  Then, cut along those creases. Now you should have eight pieces of paper.

6) Now, start making lines across each piece of paper with the navy blue (or black) pencil. Use the ruler to help keep your lines straight. 

7) Make one, long, red line down the left side of the paper.

8) Finally, punch three holes on the left side of the paper.

You're done!

What We Did For Christmas

All right, it's about time I tell you what we did for Christmas! (I know, it's a little late, but we were so busy during the holidays!) 

   Mom tucked Sylvia and I into our beds on Christmas Eve. We lay awake for awhile. It's almost impossible to get to sleep on Christmas Eve, but at last, somehow, we did.

   Next morning, the winter sun spilled onto my face.

I sat up sleepily.

Then I looked over to see if Sylvia was awake.

I usually wake up before her, so I did not expect her to be.

Imagine my surprise when she wasn't even in her bed... and the bed was made!

She was standing over by our little Christmas tree, already dressed.

(We have a small tree in our room... one more our size.)

I pushed away the covers and pulled on my slippers.

There were two presents under the tree!

"I thought that you'd never wake up," said Sylvia. "Let's open our presents!"

I laughed. "Okay."

"You can open this one from me," I said, sitting down.

Then I handed her the big box.

"Thank you!" said Sylvia. "Wow, it's huge!"

"Is this what I think it is?" Sylvia gasped.

"Yes! It's the Frosty Fair Isle set... thank you so much!"

"You're welcome," I smiled.

"Okay, now you can open yours." she said, giving me the little silver box.

"Thank you, Sylvia! Oh, it's so pretty. I almost don't want to open it!"

But, of course, I did.

It was a picture of a cat.

"What's this?" I wondered.

"You've always wanted a kitten," explained Sylvia. "So, I thought that we

could go down to the shelter and pick one out. I'll pay for everything."

I must admit that I screamed. More than once.

"Thank you so much!"
